The art museum back home-the Rawls Museum Arts- recently held an art auction and show, and I was in it. Apparently I won the best in show and now get to have a one man show there sometime next year. This s pretty exciting especially since me and the patrons of the Rawls don't seem to get along too well, usually. Also it's pretty great because they are an affiliate of the VMFA.

HAPPY THEODORE ROOSEVET'S BIRTHDAY

Today T.R. would be 150.

when the 24 hour doughnut place was closed.

We had to go to Krispy Kreme instead of Country Style Doughnuts, which was closed even though they are supposed to be open 24 hours. Oh well, we got Halloween themed doughnuts!

autumn.

Autumn is here! I always say it's my favorite season, and then i remember how cold and whiny i get. But the clothes for the fall are always the best, and I get to wear a lot of sweaters, and eat pumpkin-y things, and drink hot chocolate, so I suppose it's worth it.

Here are some autumn things:

I made this apple pie! I used apples that I picked! I put a lot of effort into this pie, and it was delicious! For the filling I used a recipe from a book we have at work called "Mad Hungry". For the crust I used my Magnolia Bakery cookbook, but I made the crust from their strawberry pie. I really liked that the inside of the pie wasn't gooey and sticky, like a Burger King apple pie. It was mostly just the apples and a little bit of juice.



This is dinner from tonight: pan-fried tilapia, sauteed green beans and garlic, baked macoroni, and strawberries.

And last but not least- Tippecanoe!

I have been putting off doing this, even though I'm sure no one reads this, but Pizza Hut, my dream bunny, didn't make it after being neutered. Things didn't go as planned, and proper instructions were not given, and Pizza Hut is gone now.
I miss him, and I'm just glad he didn't have to suffer long, and I will love him forever.

I've been trying to get back into making things since the summer is nearly over and autumn is creeping in. I need to stop relaxing and get to making. Tonight I'm working on my website's homepage, a drawing of Uncle Sam as a fox, and a drawing of a snake for my father.

I'm generally fighting a constant battle to keep these plants alive. I am not good with them. I don't know when they're supposed to be watered, I don't know how much water they need, and I don't understand what I've done wrong when the leaves fall off. But they do all have really nice containers.

That time me and Jonathan went camping and had more fun at the surprise water park than at the campground and went home early because we were bored.

Trip to the vet.

Last night Pizza Hut escaped from the living room (his usual play area) and found his way into the hallway. In the hallway there was a dish of rat poison that was left over from when our apartment had mice! We aren't sure if Pizza Hut ate any or not, but this morning I rushed him to the vet as soon as they opened! He was the most well behaved bunny, even when he had to get blood work done. He was mostly interested in checking out the other animals in the waiting room.

Now he gets a syringe full of vitamins everyday for a week!
